Storing Store Bought Pita Bread for a Short Time

Now if you are planning to consume your store-bought pita bread within a few days and want to maximize freshness, store it in a cool, dry area of your home.

If you have already opened the packaging, remember to reseal it properly in its original packaging and store it at room temperature. Properly stored, packaged pita bread will last for about 5 to 7 days at normal room temperature.

Packaged pita bread should not be refrigerated, as the bread will dry out and become stale faster than at room temperature.

Storing Pita Bread for a long time in the Freezer

To freeze store-bought Pita Bread in its original packaging, simply wrap the package tightly with aluminum foil or plastic freezer wrap, or place it in a heavy-duty freezer bag before freezing. Packaged pita bread that has been kept constantly frozen at 0°F will keep safe indefinitely. But for best quality consume within 3 months, remember that the longer it is frozen, the dryer it will become.
